The EGR Academic Boosters was founded in 1986 to support the academic performance of every student. Today the EGR Academic Boosters is a 501(c)3 parent-led organization that fosters vital communication between the school and its families and gives academic improvement opportunities to East Grand Rapids students that go beyond the classroom. Proceeds from membership dues, the Progressive Dinner, and the Winter Whirl Dance allow the Academic Boosters to support direct assistance to students in these ways:
  • Teacher-led exam prep sessions each semester
  • Preparation for standardized tests, ACT, MME and SAT
  • Academic competitions and extra-curricular groups
  • Recognition of academic improvement and excellence
  • Summer school credit recovery classes
Join us monthly, participate in our membership meetings. Share your input and glean valuable academic information for your student’s success at East Grand Rapids High School, read more below.
Join us for our annual Progressive Dinner on February 4, 2017, featuring a large reception in a lovely EGR home, where your host home destination is revealed. Your party then proceeds to enjoy an intimate dinner party (8-10 people) at homes around the community. Share ideas and meet new families. Click here to purchase tickets.
The East Grand Rapids Academic Boosters is a 501(3)c non-profit organization, a fair market value of your ticket will be available March 1, 2017.
Monthly Membership Meetings: In addition to supporting students, Academic Boosters performs a vital role in educating parents on how to navigate the high school system to achieve every student's needs. The Boosters hold monthly meeting for parents, click here for minutes and meeting times.
